Scope
Brand Architecture, Visual Identity System, Digital Ecosystem Design, and Stationery Systems.
Client Brief
The client required a "Law Tech" visual system that felt classic yet modern. They needed to move away from traditional "scales of justice" tropes and instead use classical art to represent "Discovery and Trust" and neon accents to represent "Innovation"
Challenges
The primary technical challenge was engineering a way to merge the classic Hudson River School and modern UI components. We had to ensure that the "Mezzala" brand remained perfectly legible and authoritative even when placed over complex historical art.
Approach
Modern ft. classic
Integrating 19th century pieces as a background to represent the intrinsic legal ground of the industry.
Sans-Serif Type
First intuition would be a Serif, but since the background is the center piece of the brand, I chose to, instead, select a bold, wide sans serif font to cut the classical tone of the hero section, allowing the brand to signal technical competence and adaptability to the modern times.
Color Shock
Implementing a specific digital color architecture with Electric Blue (#AFDCFC) and Neon Green (#DDF79B) to "layer" modern logic over traditional art assets.
